Reeve hopes $8.5B SinoCan refinery to call Lamont County home

 Fort Saskatchewan Record - September 27, 2018 The reeve of Lamont County is hoping a multi-billion dollar proposed refinery makes its way to the area. Last week, it was learned that a consortium of Alberta First Nations inked a deal with Chinese investors to get a once shuttered bitumen refinery up and running. CALGARY, Alberta, Dec. 18, 2017 -- Inter Pipeline Ltd. is pleased to announce that its board of directors has authorized the construction of a world-scale integrated propane dehydrogenation (PDH) and polypropylene (PP) plant.
